14 dead in prison riot in Honduras

Honduran authorities say at least 13 people have died at a prison after armed inmates started a fire during a riot Thursday.

San Pedro Sula police commissioner Yair Mesa says there are at least 13 dead, but the riot has been brought under control.

Inmates began fighting among themselves and tossed the severed head of one prisoner over the walls of the jail as they held firefighters at bay, according to one report.

La Prensa de Honduras reported the riot occurred after a fight broke out between groups of inmates following the discovery of the decapitated body of Mario Alvarez in a cell.

The fire, which allegedly occurred in the prison kitchen, according to La Prensa, was controlled by firefighters who had to leave the jail because of threats from inmates.

The grisly scene at the prison in the northern city of San Pedro Sula came 1 1/2 months after Honduras' overcrowded prisons were hit by the worst prison fire in a century, a Feb. 14 blaze at the Comayagua farm prison that killed 361 inmates.

According to TMZ, droves of teenage fans began guessing the missing number, leading to more than 1,000 phone calls to an older woman named Dilcie and a man named Kent.

The tweet has since been deleted, but the duo has teamed up with a lawyer to threaten legal action against the 18-year-old. A representative for Bieber did not immediately return The Hollywood Reporter's request for comment.

Amazon founder locates Apollo 11 rockets

Jeff Bezos, the dot-com billionaire, announced that he has located the booster rockets that lifted the first moon mission into space at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean. ?He hopes to raise one or both to the surface.

For more than four decades, the powerful engines that helped boost the Apollo 11 mission to the moon have rested in the Atlantic. Now Internet billionaire and space enthusiast Jeff Bezos wants to raise at least one of them to the surface.

An undersea expedition spearheaded by Bezos used sonar to find what he said were the F-1 engines located 14,000 feet deep. In an online announcement Wednesday, the Amazon.com CEO and founder said he is drawing up plans to recover the sunken engines, part of the mighty Saturn V rocket that launched Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins on their moon mission.

The five engines, which produced nearly 7.7 million pounds of thrust, dropped into the sea as planned minutes after liftoff in 1969. Four days later, Armstrong and Aldrin walked on the moon.

"We don't know yet what condition these engines might be in," he wrote. "They hit the ocean at high velocity and have been in salt water for more than 40 years. On the other hand, they're made of tough stuff, so we'll see."

Bezos acknowledged the engines were the property of NASA, but said he hoped they will be displayed in museums.

NASA expressed excitement about the find. The space agency said it has not been formally contacted by Bezos and waited for more information.

"There has always been great interest in artifacts from the early days of space exploration and his announcement only adds to the enthusiasm of those interested in NASA's history," NASA spokesman Bob Jacobs said in a statement.

No timetable has been set for the recovery. When it happens, it'll undoubtedly take longer to hoist the 19-foot engines off the sea floor than the 2 1/2 minutes it took for them to power off the launch pad.

The sea floor is littered with spent rockets and flight parts from missions dating back to the dawn of the Space Age and it's unknown what survived decades later after crashing into the ocean.

In 2009, a private company salvaged Gus Grissom's Mercury capsule that accidentally sank in the Atlantic after splashdown in 1961. It was restored and displayed at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center.

Bezos' planned Apollo recovery is the latest deep-sea adventure by the wealthy. "Avatar" director James Cameron over the weekend rode a mini-sub to Earth's deepest spot in the western Pacific Ocean, seven miles below the surface, which he described as an alien world. Sir Richard Branson plans a similar dive to the deepest part of the Atlantic, the Puerto Rican trench, later this year.

Bezos was 5 years old when he watched the moon landing on television and became hooked on getting to space. NASA "sure inspired me, and with this endeavor, maybe we can inspire a few more youth to invent and explore," he wrote.

It was not immediately clear when Bezos' team spotted the Apollo engines. Bezos offered few details about the discovery and did not say how he knew the engines were from Apollo 11. The cost of the recovery was not disclosed, but Bezos said it will be done with private funds.

Amazon spokesman Drew Herdener said Bezos was not available for comment.

Bezos' Blue Origin has been developing a vertical takeoff and landing rocketship that would fly passengers to suborbital space. It has NASA funding to compete to go into orbit as a space taxi now that the space shuttle fleet is retired.

Last year, a test flight went awry when the vehicle became unstable at 45,000 feet and crashed.

Jobless claims drop to new 4-year low

New claims for unemployment benefits dropped to a fresh four-year low, showing that the job market continues to strengthen.

The Labor Department said Thursday that jobless claims fell 5,000 to a seasonally-adjusted 359,000 in the week ended March 24, the lowest since April 2008, when the economy was in the depths of the recession. The four-week moving average dropped 3,500 to 368,500.

The department also made its annual revisions to the past five years of unemployment benefits data. The revisions increased the number of unemployment benefit applicants in recent months. But the downward trend remains intact.

When unemployment benefit applications drop consistently below 375,000, it usually signals that hiring is strong enough to lower the unemployment rate. The decline has coincided with the best three months of hiring in two years.

Employers added 227,000 jobs to their payrolls in February, taking the tally for the past three months to 734,000. A report on jobs growth during March is due on April 6. A Labor Department official said there was nothing unusual in the state-level data and only two states - Alaska and Hawaii - had been estimated.

The number of people still receiving benefits under regular state programs after an initial week of aid fell 41,000 to 3.34 million in the week ended March 17, the lowest since August 2008.

A total of 7.153 million people were claiming unemployment benefits during the week ended March 10 under all programs, down 131,488 from the prior week.

The first trimester (weeks 1-12)
The physiological changes that occur in this period include vascular underfill. Vascular underfill is where the blood vessels expand in width (vasodilate); this naturally occurs to supply sufficient oxygen to the baby. The problem at this stage is that the blood itself has not changed in supply, so the blood volume lags behind, which basically means the blood is slow moving around the body as it has to slowly move through these big vessels whereas before it could flow very quickly and be pumped along nicely.

This lack in blood volume causes our blood pressure to drop considerably because the pressure in the system has been reduced drastically due to these new large vessels and small amounts (in comparison) of blood. Therefore the mum-to-be will feel very tired during this stage and may experience nausea or light-headedness getting up and down quickly, so this has to be taken into account for training purposes.

Mum will also get tired quickly for a second reason. As above we mentioned that blood pressure drops because mum?s heart will want to naturally raise the pressure and supply nutrients through blood to the foetus. It forces the heart to beat harder and faster than usual so, for that reason, mum may feel fatigued relatively quickly.

When exercising in this first trimester my recommendations are:

• Keep hydrated before, after and especially during session
• Have plenty of breaks
• Never exercise to exhaustion, only to exercise failure, when technique becomes inhibited
• Don't train if you ever feel over tired?listen to the body; it?s a sign to rest.

Here's three good exercises that I recommend in this first trimester - each exercise mum should start with one set of 12 repetitions, and gradually build up to three sets. If mum wants to supplement these resistance exercises with Cardiovascular Training I would recommend just walking or swimming for 20 minutes at a time and gradually increasing the duration.

1.?Step over Squat
This exercise can be done at home using a broomstick across the chest, held in place with the elbows up and out to keep a nice tall posture to look after the back, encourages a good thoracic (upper back) extension, which will help relieve low back pain/stress, and help with good posture.

The exercise focuses primarily on the hips and whilst strengthening butt and legs, its hidden beauty is that it takes the hips into rotation, which allows the pelvis to be strong, free and mobile in its most restricted plane of motion (transverse plane). This will also reduce a lot of lumbar spine torsion or stress.?Fix the left foot on the floor. Take the right foot and step forward and in towards the front foot so it makes a ?T? shape. The whole body should now be facing to the left, apart from your originally fixed left foot.

Now with the right foot step out and behind the body taking it to about 4 o?clock. Imagine your fixed left foot is 12 o?clock, so your right foot comes back and rotates 180 degrees and is now behind and to the right of the body. Once stepped to 4 o?clock squat down as far as feels comfortable, stand up and repeat for 12 repetitions. Repeat on the opposite side but this time with the right foot fixed. When it rotates back it will go to the 8 o?clock position to mirror what we did before for symmetry.

2. Reverse Lunge with Overhead reach
Use body weights or maybe some small hand held items (one in each hand). Now step backwards with the right foot (nice lunge stride back to stretch the hip) landing on the ball of the foot and with the heel up off of the floor. Whilst the step back is being executed simultaneously take both arms straight up and forward over the head to really stretch, load and condition the abdominals and also the generally tight hip flexors that will make mum feel a lot more comfortable when walking, standing in everyday functional tasks. Do 12 repetitions and then change legs repeating the same pattern with the arms going forward and overhead.

3. Press Up with a Twist
Sounds gruelling?but remember it can be regressed if needs be and built up as fitness increases. The most comfortable option would be stood against a wall, arm?s length back with hands shoulder width apart and pressed against said wall.

The next option is down on the floor on all fours, or if you really want to jazz it up and progress intensity full length on the floor with hands under shoulders as you push your upper body off the ground and keep your feet on floor; this time your knees are up and extended into the press up.

Once you?re in the start position take your left leg under the body and as far over to the right as possible and now execute the press up for 12 repetitions. This facilitates a fantastic chain reaction sequence from the floor up into the top of the spine, which gives lots of rotational motion to all joints in the body including the spine, scapula and hips whist, at the same time, achieving the press up?s desired function of working the chest and arm muscles but with the added bonus of huge core/abdominal activation.?Once completed change sides and repeat.

The second trimester (weeks 13-27)
The physiological changes this time are that:

• The body has now adjusted to vascular underfill and a hormone called Progesterone has communicated with the kidneys to keep fluids, nutrients and salts from being lost so the blood has now caught up and filled the mum?s internal systems to fuel both her and baby with oxygen and nutrients.
• Blood volume and pressure have now normalised and the Heart Rate is brought back down so energy levels for mum are now generally higher.
• The new change in this trimester is that a second hormone is released into the mix called Relaxin.
• Relaxin?s role is to provide laxity and more range of motion to two joints in particular ? the Sacro-Iliac Joint (base of the spine where the pelvis and spine form a joint at the back of the pelvis) and the Pubic Symphysis where the pelvis meets at the front left and right where the baby?s first passage from the mother to the outside world occurs.
• This is done to aid joint relaxation for the mother to take the stress off the ligaments and joints whilst giving birth.
• The downside to this is that there is an inherently obvious lack of joint stability, so mum is vulnerable to torsion or even breaks and fractures.
• This can be combatted by sensible exercise.
• My recommendations in this phase include no heavy weights, no high impact exercises because of joint laxity and keeping a sensible range of motion.

Recommended exercises for this trimester should be performed three times for 12 repetitions and can be supplemented with light walking and swimming if mum desires.

1. Deadlift Rotation to standing Extension and Rotation
Take a broom onto the top of the chest, keeping elbows up and out again to encourage the lift of the chest and good extension through to the top of the spine. Bending from the hips (not the spine), rotate your right shoulder as close as comfortable down and towards your left knee, pause momentarily and slowly come up and back taking the right shoulder up as high as possible and rotate to the right whilst extending.

This exercise is fantastic for the hips, the butt, the spine and the abdominals - all of which are vital areas of focus and attention for mums.

2. Side step lunge with Lateral side bend
Simply start with feet shoulder width apart and facing forward. Take comfortable steps to your right keeping the lunging foot facing forward and, at the same time, bring your right arm up and over the head towards the left hip. Again, this is fantastic for the same culprits as before (butt, hips, spine and abdominals) but in a different plane of motion. The body moves in three planes and needs to be conditioned in them all.

3. Press Up with Extension
Simply perform a press up but whilst on the decent phase (downward phase) of the exercise, lift your chin and look directly up and forward to a comfortable range for the neck. At the same time lift one leg back and up like a donkey kicking action. Then, as you push up off the floor, look back down with the head and allow the leg to lower down. Remember to swap legs up with every repetition, and perform six on each side (12 in total). This is an excellent core, spine and upper body exercise.

The third trimester (weeks 28-40)
Physiological changes are complete at this stage but it is a time of concern where regular midwife check-ups are advised and things such as high blood pressure and excessive or abnormal foetal growth can be detrimental to both mother and child.

So my advice here is to exercise sensibly, have regular breaks, meet with your midwife as often as possible, avoid exercising in humid/hot conditions, keep hydrated and do not train if tired or lethargic.

66% of women suffer from Diastasis Recti. This is where the abdominal wall splits right down the middle length ways and gets pulled outwards (much like a torn curtain) - this happens to women who do not train and if this occurs it never repairs itself and has been linked with on-going low back pain after the pregnancy.

Exercise suggestions here are again three sets of 12 repetitions, and walking and swimming are permitted.

1. See-Saw to Tuck
On all fours, take your right elbow under the body towards your left knee. Bring the left knee in towards the subsequent right elbow as close as possible to each other and then take both in the opposite direction (forward for the arm and backwards for the leg). Keep high and stretch into both, bringing a nice lengthening into the abdominals and a great spinal extension from the top down through the moving arm and the bottom up through leg lifting. Repeat each side 12 times, slowly and controlled.

2. Mini Step Matrix
Keep your left foot on the floor. With your right foot, step forward as far as feels comfortable and return. Then, step sideways with your right foot, keeping the foot facing forward - step as far as feels ok and return. Then, with the right foot, step and rotate behind the body to a comfortable range and return. This is fantastic for the hips, thighs and buttocks.

3. T rotations
On all fours take the right arm up and rotate behind and up towards the ceiling above the head as far as feels ok and return. Now do the same with the left hand and repeat 12 times on each side. This exercise is great for the spine, abdominals and upper body strength.

The above are recommendations on exercises for each trimester for a pregnant lady who does not go to the gym to do at home. If you are a gym user and want advice seek advice from a qualified Pre/Post Natal Pregnancy Level 3 Trainer.

My recommendations are great for all muscles that aid birth i.e. pelvic floor, abdominals, glutes and hip musculature and those around the spine that control stability and have to deal with the weight of the baby pulling them forward.

They look after joint motion in all three planes, which relieve stress in localised areas such as the low back and spreads and dissipates forces all over turning muscles and keep the mum-to-be functioning and enjoying life and pregnancy to the max.

Having done these exercises, mum is conditioned and fit for pregnancy, whilst pain free and able to enjoy pregnancy. And baby has the safest, most effective passageway into the real world and he/she will have the greatest chance of being born fit and healthy and having the best immune system due to mum?s training and less chance of illness and disease.

Old teenage stress: Getting caught by your mom stealing her credit card to go out and buy stuff. New teenage stress: Trying to convince your mother that she'd better stop buying stuff and getting so much plastic surgery.

Those are two of the stories being told on the reality series "My Mom is Obsessed," in which the children of mothers who just can't help themselves try to get some assistance. Kayleigh said she got scared to open their mail thanks to the bills they were receiving, which is what led her to speak up to her mom and bring this TV show into their lives.

So did the show help? "Absolutely, just being here is testament to that," said Monica.

Two recent incidents in which airline crew members behaved alarmingly and had to be restrained by passengers have raised questions about when and how aviation workers are screened for mental health problems.

On Tuesday, JetBlue captain Clayton Osbon, 49, was locked out of the cockpit by his co-pilot after he began acting erratically on Flight 191 from New York to Las Vegas. The captain, since charged with interfering with a flight crew and now getting medical care, was upset when he couldn't get back into the cockpit and began yelling about an unspecified threat linked to Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Osbon "became increasingly agitated," and several passengers grabbed the pilot, "tackled him to the ground" and sat on him, passenger Tony Antolino told TODAY's Ann Curry.

It is not yet clear if anxiety or mental health issues led to Osbon's behavior. JetBlue said in a blog post that it will not share further details about the captain's "private life."

Osbon's last medical exam was four months ago, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told msnbc.com. "He has a clean record, no incidents or accidents and the FAA has not taken any type of enforcement action against him," the agency said in a statement.

JetBlue CEO Dave Barger called the pilot, who was suspended on Wednesday, a "consummate professional."

Earlier this month, an American Airlines flight attendant was removed from a flight after becoming combative and talking about the airline's bankruptcy and 9/11 on the plane's public-address system. Officers were also told that the 43-year-old woman was bipolar and was not taking her medication at the time, according to a police report on the incident.

John Cox, an aviation safety consultant and former airline pilot, told the Associated Press that incidents in which pilots become mentally incapacitated during a flight are "pretty rare." He said he could only recall two or three other examples in the more than 40 years he has been following commercial aviation.

While uncommon, these incidents have shown how crew member mental health is an important aspect of flight security and can be exacerbated by the high-stress environment of commercial flying.

The FAA requires that airline pilots have a first-class medical certificate, which must be renewed annually if the pilot is under 40 and every six months if the pilot is older than 40. To receive the certificate, pilots undergo a physical examination by an FAA-designated physician. A psychological assessment is not part of the evaluation, but the physician can order testing if deemed necessary. The pilots are responsible for disclosing all existing physical and psychological conditions and may have their certificate revoked if they withhold that information.?

The FAA grounds pilots who disclose that they are being treated for depression or request treatment. The pilot has to be "stable" for 12 months before returning to the cockpit.

A pilot undergoing treatment for depression is required to provide a report from a psychiatrist which details the diagnosis, course of treatment and possible side effects from medication. The pilot also has to submit to psychological testing and prepare a written statement describing his or her use of antidepressants.

The FAA can make an exception for pilots who take one of four antidepressants approved by the agency as safe to use for treating mild-to-moderate depression. In these instances, medical certificates are given on a case-by-case basis.?

Tony Antolino and Laurie Dhue, passengers aboard the JetBlue flight that made an emergency landing after the pilot had a mid-air meltdown, talk to TODAY's Ann Curry about the bizarre incident.

Of the 120,000 U.S. commercial airline pilots, 27 have taken advantage of the anti-depressant policy and have been permitted to fly while using the approved medications, according to the FAA. The agency does not have a similar policy regarding anxiety disorders or medications.

The FAA, which has said that depression "can lead to distraction and make it difficult for a pilot to focus," implemented the anti-depressant policy in 2010.?

?I?m encouraging pilots who are suffering from depression or using antidepressants to report their medical condition to the FAA,? said FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt in a statement at the time. ?We need to change the culture and remove the stigma associated with depression. Pilots should be able to get the medical treatment they need so they can safely perform their duties.?

The Air Line Pilots Association and the US Airline Pilots Association, both pilots' unions, have yet to respond to msnbc.com's requests for comment.

Dr. David Ballard, an expert on mental health policies in the workplace at the American Psychological Association, says the FAA's policy is fairly unusual because it must balance airplane and passenger security and the rights of the individual employee. Still, Ballard says, requiring employees to disclose mental health disorders can lead to a chilling effect and prevent them from seeking treatment in the first place.?

When addressed, a mental health disorder can be very treatable. "You obviously don?t want someone who is going to be unable to perform their job duties safely and effectively," Ballard said, "but just because someone has a mental health disorder, that doesn't mean they won?t be able to do their job well."

Unlike pilots, flight attendants do not undergo a medical examination, and airlines are not permitted to ask about mental health conditions. Flight attendants are certified by the FAA after completing a rigorous training program that emphasizes first-responder skills in emergency situations. Should a flight attendant seek treatment for a mental health condition, his or her FAA certification will not be endangered.

Corey Caldwell, a spokesperson for the Association of Flight Attendants, a union with nearly 60,000 members, says that training and a probationary period provide many opportunities to identify crew members who might have debilitating mental health conditions that could be triggered by tense situations.?

"I think it?s important to remember that the American Airlines flight attendant was a 23-year-veteran," said Caldwell. "Over two decades she'd been performing that [first responder] role. These two high-profile examples ... are not necessarily systemic of the population at large, but they do highlight extremely stressful situations [crew members] undergo on a daily basis."

Caldwell says that union members have increasingly reported in the past years that the stress of their profession is "escalating." Between the post-9/11 focus on security threats, the strain of airline bankruptcies and labor negotiations, and the fatigue that results from tighter schedules, the job now takes a greater emotional toll than it once did.

AFA offers members access to an employee assistance program, which provides mental health resources on request. Members can also report concerns they may have over the behavior or well-being of fellow attendants and, if needed, the AFA will get that individual help without involving airline management.

JetBlue and American Airlines crew members do not belong to the AFA, though JetBlue said on Wednesday that it does offer an employee assistance program, and that, "crew members are also able, and expected, to call a safety time-out should they need it, and the company will support them 100 percent."

"I don?t think these instances will stigmatize the profession," said Caldwell. "They?ll help shed light on the seriousness and stressfulness of this job on a daily basis."

QPR stage stunning fightback to sink Liverpool

Jamie Mackie's stoppage-time winner handed QPR a Premier League lifeline as the hosts staged a stunning fightback to beat Liverpool 3-2 at Loftus Road on Wednesday.

Kenny Dalglish's side were in control with 20 minutes to go after goals from Sebastian Coates and Dirk Kuyt.

But Shaun Derry pulled one back for QPR before former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse ran on to Taye Taiwo's cross to head home the equaliser with four minutes remaining.

Then Mackie, who had come on as a substitute for the disappointing Joey Barton, raced onto Luke Young's through-ball to slot home the winner.

The result moved QPR two points clear of the Premier League relegation zone and gave the west London club renewed hope of beating the drop, although third bottom Bolton have a game in hand on Mark Hughes's men.

QPR started nervously with Derry alone guilty of three misplaced passes in the opening two minutes.

Liverpool sensed the home side's tension and attacked relentlessly -- and if it wasn't for some determined QPR defending, the Reds could have been 4-0 up inside 12 minutes.

On three minutes a mistake from Nedum Onuoha let Luis Suarez free to go one-on-one with Paddy Kenny, but the QPR keeper made a diving save to keep the Uruguayan's shot out.

Three minutes later Martin Skrtel's header from a corner was somehow kept out by a clutch of QPR players in the box.

On 10 minutes, Kuyt's close-range shot was hacked clear by Anton Ferdinand, after Martin Kelly's header off a corner had set the Dutchman up.

Then Steven Gerrard's cross was just too long to reach Kuyt's outstretched leg, as QPR's defence was nowhere to be seen.

QPR finally caught sight of Liverpool's goal on 15 minutes, but Cisse's long-range shot went well wide.

And the home side almost went into a shock lead on the half hour mark when Jose Enrique's attempted clearance of Armand Traore's cross almost ended up in his own net.

Two minutes later Cisse came within inches of firing QPR ahead as he lost Jay Spearing, only to skim the side netting with his shot.

Just before the break Cisse had another try from long range but his shot went well over the crossbar.

Dalglish replaced Charlie Adam with Jordan Henderson and pushed Kuyt further up front with Suarez in the second half.

And nine minutes after the break Liverpool were ahead.

Ferdinand cleared Stewart Downing's effort off the line into the path of defender Coates, who blasted into the roof of the net with an overhead kick from just outside the area.

After Barton was substituted to a chorus of boos, another Kenny save denied Downing on 70 minutes, before Suarez hit the post a minute later.

But the Irishman could do nothing about Kuyt's effort for Liverpool's second, as he dived to keep out Downing's shot and could only watch the Dutchman put the rebound past him from close-range.

Yet Derry set up a dramatic finish for the visitors with a powerful header from Adel Taarabt's corner on 77 minutes before Cisse's 86th minute header levelled the score.

QPR were playing with real verve now and Mackie took advantage of some sloppy Liverpool defending in the final moments to score what could be a crucial goal in the relegation battle.
